About the role

Global Atlantic seeks a highly motivated Annuity Director to join our distribution team in a client-facing, externally focused role serving the Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) channel. This team-based position works collaboratively with National Accounts and Internal Sales Support to represent Global Atlantic's strategies and solutions to IMO partners and their sales forces (marketers). The Annuity Director serves as a strategic liaison between Global Atlantic and distribution partners, responsible for driving sales growth, deepening relationships, and ensuring effective communication and execution of our value proposition in the marketplace.

Team Structure & Collaboration

The Annuity Director operates within a collaborative team environment consisting of:

  • National Accounts
    • Partners closely with SVP National Accounts and Strategic Partnerships to develop and execute account-based business strategies
    • Aligns on territory priorities, account segmentation, and strategic initiatives
    • Coordinates on key account planning and relationship escalation
  • Internal Sales Support
    • Collaborates with internal wholesalers to develop new and established relationships
    • Leverages internal resources for proposal development, product expertise, and client servicing
    • Ensures seamless coordination between field activities and home office support

This team-based approach ensures strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and a unified client experience across all touchpoints.

Responsibilities

External Relationship Management & Client Engagement

  • Serve as the face of Global Atlantic to IMO partners and their sales forces, delivering strategies and solutions that drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive, and profitable relationships with assigned IMO distribution partners to capture market share and exceed sales goals in the annuity channel.
  • Manage client relationships primarily through face-to-face engagement, supplemented by telephone and email communications, ensuring consistent presence and accessibility.
  • Represent Global Atlantic's strategies, products, and solutions to IMO leadership and their sales forces (marketers), positioning our value proposition effectively in competitive situations.
  • Deliver presentations and communicate the Global Atlantic story with clarity, consistency, and impact to diverse audiences including IMO executives, sales leaders, and field marketers.

Strategic Execution & Sales Performance

  • Meet and exceed annuity sales goals for assigned accounts through disciplined territory management and relationship development.
  • Execute account-based business strategies in partnership with National Accounts leadership, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and field execution.
  • Maintain deep understanding of the competitive landscape within the insurance industry, using market intelligence to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Explain features, benefits, and advantages of Global Atlantic products to clients with precision and persuasive impact.

Operational Excellence & Accountability

  • Utilize deliberate scheduling and calendar management to maximize client time and ensure activities correspond to territory priorities.
  • Manage Salesforce account information and content for all assigned accounts, maintaining data integrity and documentation standards.
  • Manage individual expenses and budget in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Take personal accountability for the execution of goals and objectives, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in the annuity and life insurance industry, preferably in the IMO annuity channel.
  • Demonstrated success in wholesaling and relationship management with proven ability to drive and increase sales.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Series 7, 63, and Life & Health licenses (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Significant travel required – successful candidates may work remotely but must be willing to travel extensively to meet client needs and territory demands.

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on:

  • Sales Results: Achievement of annuity sales goals and market share growth in assigned accounts.
  • Relationship Depth: Quality and breadth of relationships with IMO partners and their sales forces.
  • Strategic Alignment: Effectiveness in executing account-based strategies in partnership with National Accounts.
  • Client Satisfaction: Feedback from IMO partners regarding responsiveness, value delivery, and partnership quality.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribution to team objectives and effective utilization of Internal Sales Support resources.
  • Market Intelligence: Quality of competitive insights and ability to position Global Atlantic effectively.

The Annuity Director serves as a critical link between Global Atlantic's corporate strategy and marketplace execution, ensuring our solutions reach advisors and clients through strong, strategically aligned IMO partnerships.

Pay

The base salary for this position is $75,000 plus monthly variable incentive compensation.
