Lowell Road Veterinary Center is a state-of-the-art, multi-doctor veterinary hospital offering personal, progressive, and comprehensive care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in Hudson, New Hampshire. Our services include annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, rehabilitation, and acupuncture. We are equipped with advanced tools such as ultrasound, underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, digital radiography, dental X-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory. Our sister hospital, Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, is located 25 minutes away in Bedford, New Hampshire.

Located on 288 Lowell Road in Hudson, our hospital is near Manchester and Nashua. Southern New Hampshire offers beaches, mountains, and city life within short driving distances, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and families.

About The Role

As an Animal Care Coordinator, you’ll support our veterinary team by caring for hospitalized patients and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked facility. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, a love for animals, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Feed, medicate, and monitor hospitalized patients
  • Observe and report changes in appetite, behavior, or overall health
  • Walk dogs and maintain clean and sanitary kennel areas
  • Perform laundry duties and ensure exam and treatment rooms are well-stocked
  • Assist with patient restraint and basic handling when needed
  • Support veterinary assistants and doctors with daily tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of medications, diets, eliminations, and patient behavior
  • Report any concerns or abnormalities promptly to the medical team

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience in an animal care setting (clinic, shelter, or similar)
  • Understanding of basic cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Ability to recognize common signs of illness or distress in animals
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
  • Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques or willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (pet food bags, animals, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to animal wellbeing
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Weekends are required.

Pay

$15–$19/hour, based on experience.
