About the role
We are seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services near Merrillville, Indiana, for ongoing coverage.
Responsibilities
- Supervise anesthesia procedures with a 1:6 ratio, with occasional after-hours coverage for C-sections
- Manage anesthesia for general surgery (50-60%) and high-acuity specialties such as heart, lungs, and vascular cases, with a specialized team for open hearts
- Handle a mix of procedures including minor pediatrics, ENT, and light trauma cases
- Participate in a regional anesthesia program performed by CRNAs and MDs
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in trauma, cardiovascular, and high-acuity environments preferred
- Ability to work with various anesthesia techniques and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and clinical skills
