Anesthesia Technician II

Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently assist the Anesthesiologist.
• Able to deliver safe patient care.
• Demonstrates the ability to utilize effective critical thinking and prioritization skills.
• Prioritizes essential functions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical skills in the care and use of adjunct intubation equipment.
• Contributes to an effective and safe working environment.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial and other sensitive material in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and or employees.
• Demonstrates the ability to use the computer.
• Demonstrates tact, sensitivity and composure under duress.
• Demonstrates the ability to integrate knowledge of job specific competencies.
• Able to be at work and be on time.
• Able to follow company policies, procedures and directives.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required
• Completion of anesthesia tech (ASATT) program preferred
• Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred
• Proficient in medical terminology
• Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card preferred
• Current ASATT Certification required
