Anesthesia Technician II

About the role

The starting pay rate is $22.00 per hour. This position works in conjunction with the anesthesiologist and the nurse anesthetist to prepare patients for anesthesia and surgery. Essential functions include cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up anesthesia equipment; assisting with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management; preparing anesthesia carts and machines with appropriate supplies; and ensuring proper functioning, condition, and positioning of anesthesia equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes, and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Aids anesthesia providers with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Prepares anesthesia carts and machines with appropriate supplies in a timely manner to facilitate room turnover.
• Ensures proper functioning, condition, and positioning of anesthesia equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
• No experience in lieu of a degree is accepted.

Qualifications

• Maintains working knowledge of the name and function of all anesthesia equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care principles.
• Ability to work well under extreme pressure and stress.

$20.84 - $29.79/Hourly Grade 4
