Anesthesia Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) years hospital or clinical experience, one year in a progressive leadership role in healthcare
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- Cer.A.TT - Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)

Essential Functions
- People Essential Functions:
- Manages selection, scheduling, supervision, retention, and evaluation of employees
- Provides development and mentoring of staff
- Facilitates and promotes effective team dynamics and teambuilding strategies
- Maintains a competent and engaged employee group
- Functions as a role model to staff
- Service Essential Functions:
- Plans and organizes day-to-day department operations
- Serves and actively participates on various entity committees
- Collaborates with anesthesia providers and procedural area leaders
- Quality/Safety Essential Functions:
- Ensures a safe and effective working environment
- Makes and executes decisions within delegated authority
- Monitors and confirms staff maintain their required credentials
- Employs a proactive approach in the optimization of safe outcomes
- Monitors self and employee compliance with policies, procedures, and System HR Standards of Practice
- Translates regulatory anesthesia requirements for the provision of clinical services
- Finance Essential Functions:
- Assists in the development of department budget
- Manages/audits department expenses within approved budget parameters
- Develops staffing plans and schedules to meet department/patient needs
- Implements department strategies to achieve financial target and staffing needs
- Proactively plans for identifying capital needs related to current equipment and future anesthesia projects
- Growth/Innovation Essential Functions:
- Identifies and implements innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes
- Evaluates processes; recommends and implements action plan(s) for change
- Builds strategic relationships between one’s area and other areas, teams, departments, and units
- Identifies developmental needs of self and staff and takes appropriate action
- Contributes to the development of annual goals and objectives for the department
