About the role

This adjunct instructional position will provide high-quality, competency-based instruction in Anatomy & Physiology to prepare students for careers in healthcare and related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines.
  • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.
  • Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom.
  • Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices
  • Able to integrate technology into classroom instruction
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Commitment to student success and workforce preparation
  • Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Current federal law requires identification and eligibility verification prior to employment.
  • Only U.S. citizens and aliens authorized to work in the United States may be employed.
  • A criminal/financial background check will be required for applicants elected.
