Responsibilities
- Serve as a mentor, role model, and facilitator providing guidance and academic support for students.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, the teaching/learning process, and individual students.
- Apply skills and experience to your assigned teaching schedule.
- Participate and contribute to assessment activities of courses/curriculum and programs via a continuous improvement plan.
- Regularly contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies to instruct students, aiming for observable evidence of student achievement of learning outcomes.
- Maintain scholarly activities.
- Participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.
- Advance the college's commitment to students' success as healthcare professionals.
- Leverage innovative technologies and resources fully.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.
- A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program.
- Experience working with online learning management systems to engage the student learning process.
- Training in educational methods, testing, and evaluation.
- Strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a baccalaureate degree from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Instructors must have at least 12 semester credit hours (or equivalent) in the subject area they teach.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Teaching experience in healthcare-related subjects.
