Anatomic Pathologist – Neuropathology - Assistant/Associate Professor Level
About the role
The Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a physician with experience and training in Neuropathology, Diagnostic Molecular Pathology and Autopsy Pathology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, tenure eligible, in the Clinical Scholar track or Clinical Educator track. Rank will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic record.
Primary clinical service responsibilities
- Sign-out duties in Neuropathology
- Secondary responsibilities in Autopsy Pathology
- Support Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and its affiliates
Job Description
The Department has an ACGME accredited residency program where faculty are expected to take an active role in the training and teaching of Pathology residents and participate in inter- and intra- departmental conferences. The candidate will also take an active role in the training of Pathology Fellows and instruct medical students at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Sufficient time will be allocated to pursue academic interests and translational research.
Qualifications
- M.D., M.D. /Ph.D., or equivalent degree
- Unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Board certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology through the American Board of Pathology
Pay
Commensurate with training, experience, and academic record.
