About the role

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Long Range Radars department is seeking a Training Development Analyst I to work onsite in Woburn, MA. LCE is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our LCE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM), Failure and Corrective Action Analysis, Government Property Management, Repair and Return Management, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

What You Will Do

As a Training Development Analyst, you'll be assigned to a Long Range Radar program and will be responsible for the training development in support of our operators and maintainers around the globe. This role will require you to research, develop, and revise operations and maintenance training plans and training courses in support of technical, programmatic, and customer requirements. The role also includes administrative support of other LCE and program team members to facilitate innovative and trusted solutions that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Air & Space Defense System's products and services over their life cycle.

  • Develop and maintain operations and maintenance training technical content, including presentations and accompanying materials.
  • Assess existing training programs to identify instructional, technical, administrative, and support needs.
  • Analyze technical documentation to clearly communicate specifications.
  • Acquire subject knowledge through interviews, observation of engineering products, and review of technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and technical manuals.
  • Oversee preparation of illustrative materials, selecting appropriate drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts for inclusion into training documentation and instructional media.
  • Research technical documentation, engineering personnel input, and other subject matter experts to design effective learning and documentation solutions.

This role may require domestic and international travel (up to 15%).

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design and Technology, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Training and Development, Technical Writing, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience developing training materials or technical documentation.
  • Experience in training instruction and training development in a military or civilian environment.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.

Pay

57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. Salary range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function and associated responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Schedule

Onsite: Employees working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
