Analyst, Protective Intelligence – West Coast

About the role

The Protective Intelligence Center (PIC) supports Crisis24’s Private Strategic Group (PSG) in proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats and hazards to our Principals, client enterprises, and the respective Crisis24 Agents and Analysts who keep them safe. The PIC leverages advanced technology, all-source intelligence, and internal subject matter experts to provide timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence.

As an Analyst, Protective Intelligence, you will triage, report, and monitor security incidents with the potential to impact Crisis24 PSG’s assets. You may also proactively identify, track, and assess known and emerging risks, provide incident response and triage, travel risk support, security assessments, online research, and investigations. You will receive training on investigative and threat assessment techniques and best practices in furtherance of the PIC’s protective mission.

You will monitor a wide variety of threat vectors, including open-source and closed-source datasets, geopolitical events, civil unrest, natural hazards, crime, terrorism, cyber-kinetic events, vector-borne diseases, and other health concerns in support of internal business functions and client contracts. You will also field operational and logistical requests for information (RFIs) to facilitate ad-hoc secure transport and executive protection workflows.

This position primarily operates during PIC’s Shift III hours (13:00 – 21:10 PT), covering shifts Monday through Friday, with additional coverage for holidays, nighttime, or weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Triage, report, and monitor new or emerging security incidents impacting Crisis24 PSG’s assets.
• Proactively identify, track, and assess known and emerging risks.
• Provide incident response, triage, travel risk support, security assessments, online research, and investigations.
• Monitor threat vectors, including open-source/closed-source datasets, geopolitical events, civil unrest, natural hazards, crime, terrorism, cyber-kinetic events, and health concerns.
• Field operational and logistical requests for information (RFIs) to support secure transport and executive protection workflows.
• Participate in shift turnover and daily standup meetings with PIC leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Open-source intelligence (OSINT) skills, including collecting, assessing, and rapidly assimilating information into concise, actionable reports.
• Familiarity with news reporting sources, social media channels, and real-time monitoring of current events.
• Ability to assimilate and leverage new technologies.
• Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge.
• Demonstrated interest in supporting physical security and operational logistics.
• Aptitude for clear and effective written and verbal communications under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ability to assess information quickly for credibility, relevance, and importance.
• Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Schedule flexibility, including off-hours and weekend shifts.
• High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• Must maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in protective intelligence, threat analysis, military intelligence, law enforcement, or corporate security.
• Proven ability to assess complex threat environments and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Broad geopolitical awareness, knowledge of global events, and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior stakeholders.

Schedule

Primary shift: 13:00 – 21:10 PT, Monday through Friday. Additional coverage required for holidays, nighttime, or weekend shifts.
