Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit R01, and related Excluded, Exempt, and Statutory Exempt employees, to have their base salary reduced by three percent and receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries listed do not reflect this reduction.

About the Role

This Analyst IV position is located at Headquarters in Elk Grove, Sacramento County. Under the general direction of the Assistant Secretary, Office of Public & Employee Communications (OPEC), the Analyst IV acts as a policy advisor and provides high-level expertise on complex, sensitive, and confidential program issues. The Analyst IV may act independently on behalf of the Assistant Secretary in various situations, including high-level meetings, litigation, and policy development, to support CDCR’s primary mission.

  • Serve as a policy advisor on complex, sensitive, and confidential program issues.
  • Act independently on behalf of the Assistant Secretary in high-level meetings, litigation, policy development, and other critical situations.
  • Provide expertise to support CDCR’s mission of public safety and successful community reintegration.
