ANALYST INFORMATION
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as primary accounting support to the South and Southwest Florida Aggregate operations.
- Works with vendors and the CEMEX procurement organization.
- Led the spare part inventory count twice annually.
- Calculates finished and raw material inventory variances twice annually.
- Creates purchase orders and check requests for the environmental department, public relations, and limited other needs.
- Participates in the timely and accurate preparation and/or review of all significant financial information provided to Division, Region and Corporate management related to these sites.
- Participates in monthly closing, forecast updates, capital and operating budget preparation.
- Supports the Engineering department with project cost tracking, monthly reporting and creation of purchase requisitions.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of financial management experience; Industry experience helpful.
- Computer literate, in SAP and PC based applications.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Current knowledge regarding the conceptual framework underlying financial accounting.
- Diplomacy and ability to function as a leader in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Works in normal office environment.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays for project implementation.
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors.
