About the Role

Has knowledge of the functions and applications of information systems. Responsible for maintaining and supporting clinical, ambulatory, ancillary, financial and/or administrative systems to efficiently and effectively assist with the goals of fulfilling business objectives.

The Applications Analyst I should have organizational and time management skills to participate in multiple projects of varying size and complexity to ensure they are accomplished within the required timeline and meet project expectations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support clinical, ambulatory, ancillary, financial, and/or administrative systems.
• Participate in multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Resolve complex problems using analytical ability and experience-based knowledge.
• Exercise independent judgment to establish budgets and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR 2 to 3 years of equivalent academic or professional experience in business, computer application building, support, implementation, or project management.
• Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in multiple system applications.
• Analytical ability to resolve complex problems using scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.

Qualifications

Licensure in a clinical area and/or healthcare experience highly preferred.

About The Team

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state-designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus. It regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures. The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging, and pediatrics.

Pay

St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
