About the role

Under the direction of the Area Construction Engineer, Senior Transportation Engineer (Civil), the incumbent reviews and analyzes the status of projects in the office of construction, gathers information and responds to inquiries regarding projects, tracks account usage, and analyzes data for construction project expenditures.

• Performs analysis, calculations, prepares contracts, and monthly progress payment estimates for all contracts assigned to the field office.
• Analyzes actual usage reports and maintains related logs.
• Reviews data/information and makes modifications, submittals, updates online programs, and supports project tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Area Construction Engineer.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and in 12-point Arial font. It should demonstrate:
  • Experience and education related to construction and office engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other functional units, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and independently complete tasks assigned by resident engineers to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to track and monitor cost, scope, schedule, and status of projects and coordinate with resident engineers for resolutions of issues impacting them.
• Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If basing eligibility on education, include unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification. Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a U.S. equivalency report evaluation.

Pay

$6,031.00 - $7,775.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Schedule

Permanent, Full Time. Hybrid telework arrangement.
