ANALYST II
About the role
The Analyst II (AN II) acts as the lead analyst in the Customer Support Center, providing initial training to new Analyst Is and assisting with more difficult phone inquiries from various stakeholders including dealers, certified instructors, law enforcement, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Provides budgetary, analytical, regulatory, and technical support on a variety of duties, issues, and concerns related to the DROS Entry System, Firearm Certification System (FCS), and the main public information line.
- Gathers, analyzes, tracks, and reports statistical information pertaining to DROS and FCS-related billing, submission, reconciliation, and transaction issues originating from the State’s firearms dealers, certified instructors, and the public.
- Works independently and demonstrates discretion and flexibility.
- Learns, interprets, and administers complex State and Federal firearms laws.
- May require overtime on occasion, including weekends and holidays.
