Duties
- Assists employees, supervisors, and managers in the appropriate application of employee leave programs, the Workers’ Compensation (WC) Program, Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Program, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Evaluates RA requests.
- Applies departmental policy and State and/or Federal rules and regulations requirements, including Americans with Disability Act (ADA), California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) rules, and relevant labor-code provisions.
- Provides accurate information and support to employees, program staff, managers, and supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of full-time experience in human resources, disability management, or a related field.
- Experience with FMLA, CFRA, NDI, SDI, PL, medical Leave of Absence (LOA), Catastrophic Leave (CL), and RA Program.
- Knowledge of ADA, Cal/OSHA rules, and relevant labor-code provisions.
Qualifications
- Ability to evaluate RA requests.

- Strong communication skills to provide accurate information and support to employees, program staff, managers, and supervisors.
Skills

- Understanding of ADA, Cal/OSHA rules, and relevant labor-code provisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Benefits
The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction due to the implementation of the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. Employees will receive a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
