About the role
The Analyst I serves as a Licensing Program Analyst and performs the less complex analytical and administrative duties to support the processing of applications, enforcement actions, and compliance with State and Federal regulations, including the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), California Health and Safety Code, Business and Professions Code, California and Federal Codes of Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supports the processing of applications and enforcement actions
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations
- Works under the supervision of the Examiner III, Chief of the On-Site Licensing Section within the Laboratory Field Services Branch
Requirements
If new to California state service, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification to be hired for this position. If you are a current state employee, but do not have transfer eligibility or list eligibility, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification to be hired for this position.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Experience performing analytical and administrative duties
- Ability to work under pressure, execute sound judgment, and exercise confidentiality
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
