Job Description and Duties
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by working to protect and improve the health of all Californians. Under supervision of the Health Program Manager I, Chief of the Prenatal Logistics (PLOG) Unit, the Analyst I performs a variety of technical and analytical duties that are of average difficulty to support the Prenatal Screening Program (PNS). The Analyst I enhances services through agile operations and interacts with PNS Program clinicians and patients in a variety of modalities, assisting with Program supplies, user experience with Genetic Disease Screening Program Division’s (GDSP) online applications, and general Program functions.
Special Requirements
- Strong data/systems skills, including navigating and troubleshooting, reviewing user activity, resolving login issues, and supporting workflow needs.
- Analytical problem solver able to interpret incomplete case data, reconcile clinician information, and assess inventory or supply trends.
- Clear communicator for troubleshooting, training, explaining workflows, and responding to inquiries.
- Experience coordinating inventory and supplies, tracking stock, interpreting warehouse reports, estimating needs, and forecasting orders.
- High attention to detail for subpoenas, clinician updates, returned mail, and accurate data entry.
- Proficient in Excel and reporting for analyzing supply data, preparing case lists, and supporting decisions.
- User Acceptance Testing experience reviewing system changes, comparing workflows, validating criteria, and recommending readiness.
