About the role

The Analyst I EPIC EHR Application supports Epic and other clinical applications by providing build support for change requests, maintenance, and project business demands. They configure, document, test, modify, and support software applications, collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical departments, and resolve end-user system issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in designing, verifying, documenting, amending, and refactoring software configurations for deployment.
  • Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate.
  • Assists in investigating and resolving issues related to applications.
  • Follows agreed procedures to identify and resolve issues with applications.
  • Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.
  • Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks.
  • Assists with the design of test cases and test scripts, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording, and reporting test outcomes.
  • Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing.
  • Assists in evaluating design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback on requirements of developing systems, products, services, or devices.
  • Checks systems, products, services, or devices for adherence to applicable standards, guidelines, style guides, and legislation.
  • Provides first line investigation and gathers information to enable incident resolution and allocate incidents.
  • Might be part of an after-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience. No specific certifications or professional licenses are required. Relevant experience (1 year) in application configuration, applications support, application testing, clinical applications, cross-departmental collaboration, end-user support, Epic EHR, IT documentation, relationship building, and resolution management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
