ANALYST I

About the role

Under the supervision of the Contracts Services Group Supervisor I, the Analyst I is responsible for developing and preparing a diverse workload of contractual agreements ranging from routine to the moderately technical and complex. Ensures contracts and procurements are in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and department guidelines. The incumbent performs the less complex duties relating to contracts related special projects including but not limited to, business process improvement and documentation; policy and procedure development, training development and facilitation, and change management efforts. This position is the first journey level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare a diverse workload of contractual agreements ranging from routine to moderately technical and complex
• Ensure contracts and procurements are in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and department guidelines
• Perform less complex duties relating to contracts related special projects including business process improvement and documentation
• Participate in policy and procedure development
• Assist with training development and facilitation
• Support change management efforts

Requirements

• Must obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the examination for Analyst I or Analyst II classification
• Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (submitted electronically through CalCareer Account or via mail/drop-off)
• Resume (required)
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) – required (see special instructions)
• Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility
• Must meet Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
• California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute

• Ability to handle challenging assignments and learn new things

Pay

• Analyst I: $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 (Range A), $4,181.00 - $5,233.00 (Range B), $5,014.00 - $6,276.00 (Range C)
• New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable
• Shall Consider: Analyst II $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 (Range A)

Schedule

• Work Shift: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Work Week: Monday - Friday
• Hybrid position located in Sacramento, CA – requires report to office a minimum of four days a week
• Headquartered at 1416 9th Street, Sacramento, CA, 95814 (Downtown Sacramento)
