About the role
Working Title: Referral Coordinator - Hybrid Telework. Classification: ANALYST I with salary ranges: A – $3,861.00–$4,839.00, B – $4,181.00–$5,233.00, C – $5,014.00–$6,276.00. New to State candidates are hired at the minimum of the applicable range. Work Location: Sacramento County; Telework: Hybrid. Job Type: Permanent, Full Time. Number of Positions: 1. The position is within the Department of State Hospitals, located at 1215 O Street, MS 17, Sacramento, CA 95814. The department’s mission is to provide evaluation and treatment in a safe and responsible manner, seeking innovation and excellence in hospital operations across a continuum of care. DSH‑Sacramento occupies a new modern, sustainable 11‑story office building featuring first‑floor retail space, a public café, outdoor seating, a large shared conference room (capacity 162), an employee fitness center with yoga studio, cardio equipment and weights, kitchenette on each floor, lactation rooms, additional conference and collaborative spaces, and a shared terrace on the 10th floor with indoor/outdoor seating and Capitol views. Responsibilities
- Process referrals by reviewing required documentation and coordinating with county partners, DSH staff across facilities, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor assigned caseload to ensure timely processing of referrals in relation to court‑mandated timeframes.
- Apply broader knowledge of managing an assigned caseload of patient referrals and organizational/departmental requirements as the scope of work increases.
Pay
Classification salary ranges: ANALYST I – A: $3,861.00–$4,839.00; B: $4,181.00–$5,233.00; C: $5,014.00–$6,276.00. New to State candidates are hired at the minimum of the applicable range.
