About the role

MUFG is seeking a Foreign Remittance Analyst to join their team in Taiwan. This role is responsible for processing foreign remittance transactions while ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting both customer and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Process inward and/or outward foreign remittance transactions independently, including complicated cases, while adhering strictly to local regulations and internal procedures
  • Communicate with customers to collect required documents and respond promptly to transaction-related enquiries
  • Review transaction documents prior to processing to ensure completeness and accuracy and maintaining high standards of compliance
  • Prepare daily reports, monthly transaction statistics, checklists, and other assigned regulatory or internal reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain and store documentation according to company policies, guidelines, and local regulations
  • Collect and prepare documentation required for internal and external audits efficiently
  • Support departmental, branch-level, and regional initiatives by assisting in assigned project tasks, process improvement activities, and operational readiness actions
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, including but not limited to Operations team to seek advice and support
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions to maintain operational integrity

Requirements

  • Degree qualification is required for this position
  • At least 2 years of experience within the banking sector
  • Good analytical skills should enable you to interpret data accurately and draft comprehensive reports
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • A solid understanding of the banking regulatory environment is important
  • Possess good knowledge of operations related specifically to inward and outward foreign remittance transactions
  • Good command of English
  • Japanese language skills are considered advantageous for broader engagement within the organization
