About the Role
This position plays a major role in the Resorts World Las Vegas IT ecosystem. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point person for addressing technical and business needs, working directly with all levels of users—from clerks to the executive suite. This role involves managing core applications, collaborating with IT and business teams, and delivering solutions to meet user needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, design, technical implementation, and enhancement of new and existing applications.
- Work with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define and improve business requirements and systems goals, and resolve systems issues.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Serve as the IT representative for project implementation and ongoing support of mature systems.
- Lead smaller IT projects, focusing on implementation, support, and enhancement of systems.
- Work directly with business teams and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve recurring problems.
- Provide technical support for designated applications.
- Participate in an on-call rotation within the IT group.
- Prototype new procedures to enhance business processes, operations, and information flow.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes across the organization.
- Obtain and maintain employment-related licensing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience supporting Gaming or Hospitality systems, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into software solutions.
- Experience working with vendor relationships for assigned projects.
- Proficiency in producing requirements, product, and pricing analysis.
- Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related field (can be replaced with relevant work experience).
- Demonstrated experience in IT Application Support and strong interpersonal skills.
