Responsibilities

• Perform historical and pro forma financial analysis of client companies
• Conduct public company peer group and merger & acquisition market analysis
• Develop discounted cash flow analyses and industry research
• Prepare reports, presentations, and marketing support materials
• Assist in corporate marketing activities, including pitch/proposal development, prospect research, due diligence, and sales presentations
• Execute firm and practice area strategies while developing expertise across Chartwell’s service lines
• Build internal and client relationships
• Prepare high-quality financial analyses and deliverables for senior review
• Develop technical and professional skills, including core valuation and financial modeling competencies
• Communicate project tasks and activities with clients and team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in valuation, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar field (preferred)
• Strong analytical abilities and deep knowledge of accounting and corporate finance theories
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial and cash flow modeling
• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients
• Acute attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work products
• Highly motivated, with strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
