AN/BYG-1 Test Engineer

About the role

Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled AN/BYG-1 Test Engineer to support an innovative program. You will be an experienced T&E Systems Engineer with a deep understanding of the AN/BYG-1 combat system and expertise in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle (TRR, SDCT, DRR)
• Develop and execute test procedures for DT and EMT
• Perform test conduct, analysis, and PTR reporting
• Build out and troubleshoot the AN/BYG-1 system in Linux environments
• Generate test checklists
• Liaise with government personnel to resolve T&E issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
• 4 years of relevant work experience in developmental or operational T&E of U.S. Naval vessels, weapons systems, tactical systems, or software systems
• Experience supporting test conduct, execution, analysis, and reporting
• Strong background and hands-on experience with Linux operating systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Experience using systems engineering tools and computer-based testing platforms

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field
• Prior Navy operational experience or related military MOS/RATE supporting submarine combat systems
• Familiarity with AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System and associated subsystems
• Experience with Payload Control Systems (PCS), Tactical Control Systems (TCS), Voyage Management System (VMS), and Common Infrastructure System (CIS)
• Experience participating in TRR, DRR, SDCT, SDVR, Development Testing (DT), and Engineering Measurement Testing (EMT)
• Proven ability to successfully and efficiently monitor systems in a test environment
