Responsibilities
- Develop the class in partnership with EWU's staff and consultants from Risepoint.
- Teach the class, including student communication and grading.
- Professional and consistent communication with EWU staff and faculty as needed.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or ABD in American History.
- Two years of teaching experience at the college level, online preferred.
- Course-specific requirements of graduate-level coursework experience or upper level teaching experience in contemporary American history.
- Passing criminal and misconduct background checks.
Qualifications
- Experience with Canvas CMS.
- Experience teaching at the graduate level.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness in an online environment.

Pay
$4,500 to $5,250 for teaching each section of the class (based on class enrollment).
Schedule
The first course is scheduled to begin in September 2026.
