Rowan University’s Department of History in the Ric Edelman College of Communication, Humanities, and Social Sciences is building an adjunct faculty pool to teach survey-level courses in Western Civilization, World History, and United States History. While some sections are offered online, preference is given to candidates who can teach in-person during morning and afternoon hours.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned survey-level history courses in Western Civilization, World History, or United States History.
- Deliver instruction in-person or online as scheduled by the department.
Requirements
- M.A. or Ph.D. in History with a field of expertise appropriate to the course.
- College-level teaching experience preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; the University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
Pay
Adjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
