About the Role

Changeover Staff play a crucial role in seamlessly transitioning American Family Field for all events. This role provides general assistance to the Brewers Meetings and Events department by handling equipment, logistical tasks, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation to meet the requirements of each event hosted at the ballpark.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, tear down, and reset furniture and equipment for events at the ballpark, including tables, chairs, pipe and drape, and others.
  • Interpret and replicate venue diagrams provided for each event set up.
  • Confirm and communicate that venues are set correctly in accordance with checklists and diagrams to the Meetings and Events team.
  • Assist in overseeing and keeping track of equipment inventory.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret and replicate venue diagrams with precision.
  • Good communication and basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Problem-solving, efficient time management skills, and ability to work independently with little supervision within a team dynamic.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and various forms of precipitation.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.

Schedule

Work hours vary depending on the events scheduled, averaging approximately 5-15 hours per week. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
