Benefits & Payroll Manager

Location: The preferred candidate will be based in Morristown, NJ or Tampa, FL, with the ability to work from one of the Lonza-Capsugel office locations.

What Will You Do

• Oversee employee benefits programs across the Americas while supporting payroll-related processes and compliance activities.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to deliver competitive benefit programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive an effective employee experience during a period of organizational transformation.
• Manage the administration and governance of health and welfare, retirement, wellness, disability, life insurance, and voluntary benefit programs.
• Lead annual benefits renewals and open enrollment activities, including planning, employee communications, vendor coordination, and implementation.
• Partner with brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators to ensure effective service delivery and program performance.
• Monitor benefits costs, utilization trends, and market benchmarks, providing recommendations to support competitive and cost-effective programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and retirement plan requirements.
• Support benefits and payroll integration activities related to divestitures, transition service agreements (TSAs), or other business transformation initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and the overall employee experience.
