Responsibilities

• Supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care.
• Serves as a resource and consults as requested.
• Communicates effectively within the unit and service.
• Participates in community and professional organizations.
• Provides expert patient care.
• Mentors and engages staff.
• Supports current nursing leadership and day-to-day operations.
• Directly supports patient care coverage.
• Facilitates recruitment and retention strategies.
• Monitors patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Hematology-Oncology experience required.
• OCN preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Active New York State license in good standing.
• A minimum of 5 years RN experience.
