Ambulatory Wilmot Hematology Oncology Clinic at Strong – Registered Nurse, Level 2

Responsibilities

• Provides competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Affords expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
• Works closely with the attending physician and APP to manage complex oncology/hematology patients in a compassionate environment.
• Assesses, coordinates care, manages symptoms, educates, and provides emotional support to patients.
• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, autonomous decision-making abilities, and excellent assessment and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience, with a desire to learn.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Autonomous decision-making abilities.
• Excellent assessment and time management skills.

Pay

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule

FT position, straight days with flexible start times; 4 days per week. No weekends, holidays or on-call. Potential to work from home 1 day per week.
