About the Role
The Ambulatory Nurse provides direct patient care in collaboration with providers and the care team, developing and implementing care plans to ensure high-quality, cost-effective healthcare outcomes. They support clinical staff, assist providers with patient management, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with primary care providers (PCPs) and specialists to develop and update care plans.
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and documentation guidelines.
- Provide patient education using verbal and written communication, assessing patient understanding.
- Support a safe environment, working in a constant state of alertness.
Requirements
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years; 5-10 years preferred for advanced roles.
- Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license and BLS certification.
