Ambulatory Care Rep-NPO| FT| Jenkintown|830am-5pm

About the role

This position is responsible for all functions related to patient access in all Ambulatory Care areas at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The role involves direct patient interaction and work across multiple electronic scheduling worklists, with rotating assignments to all point-of-service areas within the department.

Responsibilities

• Patient check-in and check-out
• Registration-related activities
• Insurance verification
• Referral determinations
• Active account verification
• Patient demographic entry and verification
• Scheduling of new and follow-up appointments
• Scheduling of lab and diagnostic services
• Scheduling of chemotherapy treatment
• Rotating assignment to all point-of-service areas within the department
• Learning and applying all processes specific to each service area
• Adherence to departmental and institutional protocols
• Accountability for outpatient functions under the direction of the Manager, Ambulatory Care Operations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 3 years experience in a related role
• Related experience in a fast-paced, professional, customer service role may be considered in conjunction with healthcare experience
