AMBULATORY CARE REP

Responsibilities

• Patient check-in/check-out
• Registration related activities
• Insurance verification
• Referral determinations
• Active account verification
• Patient demographic entry and verification
• Scheduling of new and follow-up appointments
• Scheduling of lab and diagnostic services
• Scheduling of chemotherapy treatment
• Direct patient interaction
• Working with multiple electronic scheduling worklists
• Rotating assignment to all point of service areas within the department, learning and applying processes specific to each situation
• Adherence to departmental and institutional protocols
• Accepting responsibility and accountability for assignment of outpatient functions under the direction of the Manager, Ambulatory Care Operations

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience

3 years experience in a related role; related experience in fast-paced, professional, customer service role can be considered in conjunction with healthcare
