About the role
The Alternative Delivery Manager provides direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects. This position involves participation in every stage of the project lifecycle, from business development, teaming, pursuits & proposals, to active contract and design management. Success requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask while collaborating with internal and external teams, and making well-informed decisions quickly.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
- Engage in business development, teaming, pursuits, and proposal activities.
- Oversee active contract and design management.
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams.
- Provide leadership and project management guidance on design-build pursuits and project delivery.
- Manage relationships with clients, general contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Develop win strategies, pricing, and project scheduling.
- Utilize scheduling, estimating, and project controls software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of project management or construction management experience.
- Experience in transportation engineering or transportation construction projects (e.g., Highway DOT, bridges, foundations, retaining walls, or federal projects).
- Experience and understanding of alternative delivery projects (e.g., design-build, CMGC, or progressive design-build).
- Travel requirements may exceed 50% depending on assignment and project needs.
- Experience in key project leadership roles and client management on project pursuits and delivery.
- Proficiency in technical writing and project scheduling.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- PE & DBIA Certification (desired).
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines.

Pay
Expected salary range: $147,000 USD - $203,000 USD, based on skills, experience, education, and location.
