Responsibilities
- Train new and existing Alterations leaders and field team members on technical skills, processes, and customer service.
- Design, update, and manage centralized alterations training programs, including multimedia learning materials.
- Partner with Learning & Development to ensure training content is clear, accessible, and aligned with evolving garment designs and alterations techniques.
- Develop and support 90-day onboarding training plans for new alterations team members and leaders, including progress tracking and performance feedback.
- Develop and support training content that improves productivity, efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across fitting rooms and workroom practices while maintaining garment integrity and design intent.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify skill gaps, trends, and opportunities for targeted training support.
- Conduct field visits, including unannounced visits when needed, to assess execution, reinforce standards, and provide hands-on coaching.
- Partner with Customer Service teams to ensure field teams are well-trained on alterations policies, service recovery, and customer communication.
- Support ongoing improvement of customer experience by reviewing feedback, identifying root causes, and reinforcing solutions through training.
- Coach teams on proactive issue resolution and confident decision-making to elevate service outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain a centralized alterations training library, ensuring all materials are current, easy to access, and relevant to field needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners to ensure training initiatives align with business priorities and operational standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for alterations best practices, tools, and techniques.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated technical expertise in garment alterations, dress construction, and fitting.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring in a retail, production, or service-based environment.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt training for diverse learner audiences.
- Ability to travel as needed to support field training initiatives.
