About the role

The Alternative Investment Operations team handles reconciliation, transfers (incoming, outgoing, and internal), conversions, and dividends/corporate actions. We are seeking a candidate with previous experience and operational knowledge in Alternatives to aid in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of various projects. The ideal candidate will understand data analysis, project management, and reporting tools to effectively analyze business requirements, track project status, and translate business or regulatory needs into technical requirements. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily processing and service-oriented tasks.
  • Reconcile and analyze reports.
  • Perform daily quality control, manage error rates, exception review processing, and daily reporting.
  • Use analytical skills to reconcile suspense accounts and validate transactions to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external parties, including contra brokers, transfer agents, issuers, vendors, and partners.
  • Research and process service requests created by service teams.
  • Support and contribute to the successful execution of projects and initiatives that align with LPL’s priorities, including participation in UAT.
  • Leverage technology to automate manual work and simplify processes to create a scalable, flexible, and efficient infrastructure.
  • Provide feedback for risk-based mitigation approaches that may lead to changes in functions and departmental requirements.
  • Understand and interpret rule modifications in an ever-changing regulatory environment while aligning with the business needs of LPL, our advisors, and other departments.
  • Develop quality service standards and processes to create a consistent service experience.
  • Handle escalations from the Service Center and Advisors.
  • Complete other assignments as required by Management.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of wealth management operations experience, preferably in alternative investments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Excel (VBA), Word, and Access.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, or finance.
  • SIE or Series 7 certification preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $24.71–$41.15/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
