Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains product levels in stores based on sales and customer data.
- Monitors and adjusts allocation as necessary based on sales and customer data.
- Ensures stores have sufficient product and manages inventory levels.
- Allocates new products to stores and determines product placement.
- Works with assortment planners to allocate floor sets based on store grades and width and depth plans.
- Transfers products between stores based on data and trends.
- Manages inventory at the warehouse, paying attention to product details.
- Pushes out existing inventory from the warehouse to the right stores.
- Builds new stores with inventory based on sales, market, and demographic data.
- Collects data and information about products and works with the buying team to split purchase orders.
- Communicates with other Allocators to improve allocation practices.
- Creates and analyzes reports to support allocation decisions.
- Utilizes customer and sales data to determine store needs.
- Responds to feedback and requests from District Managers and Operations regarding quantities and assortments.
- Participates in End of Month and End of Quarter meetings to provide category-specific analysis and recommendations.
- Periodically visits store locations to review product mix, gather feedback, and analyze market trends.
- Ensures coordination of outfits and complementary products at the store level.
- Calculates performance metrics for each store and item.
- Manages and balances store inventory levels for both existing and new store openings.
- Collaborates with buyers and planners to execute the merchandising vision.
- Uses programs like BY, MMS, and BI to allocate products and ensure smooth operations.
- Handles inventory management issues at the store level, including mis-ships and improper system information.
- Ensures product levels in each store align with the allocation plan.
- Adjusts the plan as needed based on customer and sales data.
- Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective.
- Consolidates inventory and product transfers.
- Analyzes store needs for different product categories and ensures assortments are executed as intended.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or a related field preferred.
- 2 - 4 years of related experience.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to make decisions based on trends and data.
- Strategic thinking skills.
- A good attitude and work ethic.
