Responsibilities
- Oversee sales and demand forecasting for 500-1,000 SKUs, partnering with cross-functional teams to gather insights and analyze historical data for accurate demand predictions.
- Utilize inventory management systems to review demand forecasts and optimize inventory levels.
- Review key inventory reporting, highlight performance metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Identify opportunities and risks by recognizing trends at the product category, attribute, store, and store group levels.
- Set appropriate stock levels to minimize overstock and understock situations, ensuring optimal inventory turn.
- Develop replenishment plans for each product category and SKU, considering lead times, order quantities, and reorder points.
- Analyze actual sales results compared to plan and adjust future flow plans as needed.
- Identify slow-moving items and assist in decisions such as discontinuations or clearance.
- Control optimal multi-warehouse inventory levels.
- Generate reporting on inventory performance and recommend strategy adjustments in collaboration with your manager.
- Partner with the Data Science team to transform manual data sets into dynamic Power BI dashboards for analysis and actionable changes.
- Work cross-functionally to develop actionable insights from large data sets and create corresponding action plans.
- Collaborate closely with Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Communicate inventory positions for designated product categories to your manager.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment focused on driving sales and optimal store presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory management.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skillset.
- Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Sense of urgency and excitement to be part of a high-growth retail environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly.
- Power BI or Tableau experience is a bonus.
