We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Sanam Husain to the Department of Pathology at McLaren Health Care as the incoming Medical Director of the Laboratory at McLaren Lapeer Hospital, starting July 15, 2025.

Qualifications

• Subspecialty expertise in gynecologic, gastrointestinal, and breast pathology
• Currently serves as the Pathology Residency Program Director at Henry Ford Health System
• Extensive experience in diagnostic pathology, medical education, and laboratory leadership

Responsibilities

Dr. Husain will transition into her new role alongside Dr. Bassily, who will retire on July 31, 2025, after many years of dedicated service. She will bring her expertise to the Department of Pathology at McLaren Health Care, focusing on the Laboratory at McLaren Lapeer Hospital.
