Laboratory Medical Director

About the role

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Leader of the pathology laboratory at Trinitas, responsible for oversight of all aspects of the laboratory operation.
• Provide leadership for staff, plan, organize and direct the activities of the Laboratory with the assistance of managers, supervisors and senior technologists.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, closely collaborating with physicians and other health care providers.
• Provide clinical direction to the Trinitas laboratory, including laboratory oversight, test validation and maintenance of College of American Pathologists accreditation of the laboratory.
• Consulting with clinical staff and participating in tumor boards.

Requirements

• MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP.
• Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and academic experience.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $350,000 to $450,000 per year.
