Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Service security, fire alarm, access control systems, camera systems and related devices
- Dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as needed
- Conduct testing and inspections of security and fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements
- Troubleshoot and complete necessary repairs
- Make connections and adjustments as directed; test the operation of all system components
- Conduct site surveys upon request from management
- Report completed work, deferred tasks, and items needing further attention or materials to management
- Communicate job status or completion with customers (installation or service)
- Write service and status reports
- Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner, obtaining all necessary signatures
- Accurately record travel and service times, complete timesheets, identify warranties, changes, and code issues, and provide thorough job descriptions
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience servicing commercial security, fire alarm, access control and camera systems is required
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from office or job site
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely
Other Duties

- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
- Requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity
