Alarm Monitor

Responsibilities

• Monitor intrusion detection systems, access-control alarms, duress alarms, and CCTV feeds to identify unauthorized activity or security incidents
• Acknowledge, assess, and document alarm activations in accordance with established procedures
• Dispatch security personnel or notify designated authorities in response to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity
• Verify credentials, access permissions, and authorization for individuals requesting entry into controlled or restricted areas
• Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and activity records for all alarms, communications, and security-related events
• Conduct routine checks of alarm panels, communication systems, and monitoring equipment to ensure proper operation
• Report equipment malfunctions, false alarms, or system irregularities to appropriate personnel for corrective action
• Follow all physical security, personnel security, and information security requirements applicable to the facility
• Support emergency response procedures, including coordination with security forces, first responders, and facility leadership
• Maintain awareness of facility security postures, access restrictions, and operational changes that impact monitoring duties

Requirements

• Prior experience in security operations, alarm monitoring, dispatch, or related protective service roles preferred
• A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or high school equivalent certificate
