Alarm and Detection Technician Apprentice

About the role

The Alarm & Detection Technician Apprentice position at Delta Fire Systems is designed to provide hands-on training and support in the field of fire protection. This role involves assisting the lead technician in performing various tasks related to fire alarm systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Aid in fire alarm installations
• Perform fire alarm system troubleshooting
• Analyze blueprints and drawings
• Learn preventive maintenance services for various manufacturers' equipment
• Assist in training new technicians

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of NICET Level 1 exam within the first year of employment
• Experience with technology such as iPads, smartphones, etc.
• Valid driver's license
• Clean appearance and reliable transportation
• Willingness to pass a post-offer drug screen, background check, and reference check

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
