About the Opportunity

Elite Fire Services is hiring a Technician Apprentice for the Fire Alarm division. This role offers a great opportunity to learn a growing and in‑demand trade. The company will train the apprentice to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician. Candidates should be hard‑working, hands‑on individuals eager to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry, which offers long‑term career potential with training, certification, and experience.

Compensation

This is an hourly position; the pay rate is contingent on experience and background and will be discussed during the interview process. Potential quarterly bonuses are available. All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am are paid at time‑and‑a‑half for every day of the week.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with three or fewer points.
• Three years of licensed driving experience.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Capability and willingness to learn and study different alarm systems to pass certification tests.
• Comfort working on ladders 6–12 ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lb.
• Ability to work overhead and in small or unusual spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Strong communication skills to explain work and repairs to customers.
• Excellent written skills for detailed service write‑ups.
• Well‑organized with the ability to track service tickets and process required documentation for each service performed.
