About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule built through our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other airport stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and surrounding activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public service agencies as directed.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic government transportation location.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (+1 years).
- 1+ years of Airport Security Experience.
- 21+ years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Pay
$25.25 / hour.
Schedule
- Monday: 8:30 PM – 5:30 AM
- Tuesday: 8:30 PM – 5:30 AM
- Saturday: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
