Airport Security Officer: Part Time Patrol Inspection
About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will document observations using a computer or tablet as needed while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, roadways, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
- Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and policy violations through required reporting channels.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of designated areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Security Experience
- 21+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
