About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location in Kahului, HI, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet technology as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or government personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and communicating with airport personnel and emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity through established channels.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, airport operations personnel, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (1+ years of driving experience).
• 1+ years of security experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening (including DOT compliance where applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).

Pay

$26.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-Time: Wednesday 01:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Thursday 01:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday 01:30 PM – 10:00 PM
