Airport Security Officer: Full Time Unarmed Computer Assisted Patrol

About the role

As an Airport Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed CCTV) in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers and staff. You will use strong communication skills and technology to document observations and support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminal areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor assigned areas for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and potential hazards, helping to deter prohibited activity and reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with the public and airport stakeholders.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• 1+ years of airport security experience
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in accordance with DOT requirements)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred)
• Customer service experience (preferred)
• Possession of a guard card or license (preferred)

Note: The first two months in this position will involve working various posts for geographic familiarization on airport property.

$27.00 / Hour
